3 Series E46 316i (M43TU) SAL
Slacken screw (1) on coolant pipe.
Screw (1) on coolant pipe (2) is slackened. Pull coolant pipe (2)
forward gently and feed knock sensor (3) out behind coolant pipe.
Release screw at knock sensor (2) of cylinder group 3-4, remove
knock sensor.
Tightening Torque,
refer to Technical Data 12 14 2AZ
Installation:
Read out fault memory of DME control module, check stored
fault messages, rectify faults, cancel fault memory.
RA Replacing knock sensor(s) (M43 from 9/95, M43TU, M44)
