Additional troubleshooting:
If a faulty glow plug is found during the test, it is essential to
also check the supply lead from the control unit to the glow
plug.
Example: Tightness of screw on glow plug, continuity test of
supply lead and tightness of screwed connector on supply
lead.
If there are other disturbances in spite of good glow plugs, glow
plug relay activation and the glow plug relay as well as
80 ampere fuse on glow plug relay must be checked.
Also refer to Group 1360 of Electrical Troubleshooting Manual,
Digital Diesel Electronics.
Interrogate fault memory of DDE control unit, check fault
messages in memory, rectify faults and clear the fault memory.
