Lower Intake Manifold Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill LF1)   (See: Cooling System/Service and Repair/Cooling

2. Remove the upper intake manifold. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Replacement   (See: Upper Intake Manifold Replacement).
3. Remove the fuel injector rail. Refer to Fuel Injector Replacement   (See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel

Injector/Service and Repair).

4. Remove the 2 lower intake manifold bolts (1).
5. Remove the lower intake manifold (2). 
6. Remove the lower Intake manifold gasket (3). 
7. Clean and inspect lower intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Cleaning and Inspection (LF1 or LFW)   (See: Service and Repair/Overhaul/88.
