REMOVAL

Accelerator Pedal Removal/Installation

Throttle Cable Attachment To Throttle Body

1.

Working from the engine compartment, rotate the throttle body throttle lever to wide open and remove the throttle cable from the throttle body
cam.

2.

From inside the vehicle, hold up the accelerator pedal and remove the cable retainer and throttle cable from the upper end of the pedal shaft.

3.

From the engine compartment, pull the throttle cable housing end-fitting out of the firewall grommet.  Make sure that the grommet remains in the
firewall.

4.

Using a pair of wide jaw pliers, pinch the tabs of the throttle cable end-fitting at the throttle cable bracket and pull the cable and end-fitting
assembly out of the bracket.
