Thrust bearing linkage - r + r with gearbox removed

Operation 1820A26 · CLUTCH RELEASE MECHANICAL CONTROL

1.2 8v, 1.6 16v, 1.3 JTD 16V, 1.9 JTD 8V, 1.9 DIESEL

Removing

1. Remove the circlip (1a) retaining the clutch release lever (1b) and remove the lever.

2. Remove the top bush.

3. Withdraw the fork control shaft.

4. Remove the bottom bush.

Refitting

Check the condition of the removed components.

Replace the bushes, if there is too much play on the fork shaft.

Refit the bottom bush.

Refit the fork control shaft.

Refit the top bush.

Position the clutch release lever and secure it to the fork shaft using the specific circlip.

Removing

Op. 1820A30 THRUST BEARING - R + R WITH GEARBOX REMOVED

1. Remove the circlip.

2. Remove the lever.

3. Remove the outer bush.

1. Remove the thrust control linkage.

2. Remove the inner bush.

Refitting

- Place the inner bush back in its housing.

- Place the thrust control linkage back in its housing.

- Place the outer bush back in its housing.

- Place the lever back in its housing and secure it using the circlip.
