• new "candelabra" type layout of the gears,
• new gear lever with reverse gear engagement safety device (the collar under the gear lever hs to be raised in order to engage reverse gear).

• MG 5 Tu type synchronizers for 1st, 2nd and 3rd speeds; simple surface for 4th and 5th speeds
• synchronizer cone with triple surface for 1st and 2nd speeds, double surface for 3rd speed and simple surface for 4th and 5th speeds
• new order inside the gears
• brake for engaging reverse gear which uses the 5th speed synchronizer
• reverse gear inhibitor outside the gearbox casing
