Remove the plug (at "b").

Fit the tool [2] (at "b") : Check that the crankshaft setting rod engages freely in its location.

N.B. : Tool [2] should screw into the engine block.

Remove :

• The tool [2]
• The cap (2)
• The 16 bolts (4)
• The timing cover (3) and its seal
