BRAKE FLUID LEAKS

A brake fluid leak is seen.

0	PRELIMINARY CHECKS	All OK	Problems met	Operation
		Results of the tests
	Check whether the fault is accompanied by decreased braking efficiency Visually inspect the brake fluid level in the reservoir Op. 3330A10	Continue to Step 1	Decreased braking efficiency	See table F01
		Continue to Step 1	Level too low	Restore the correct level and carry out a road test. If the defect persists, Continue to Step 1
1	RESERVOIR LEAKAGE TEST	All OK	Problems met	Operation
	Visually check that there are no leaks from the reservoir and the pipes	Continue to Step 2	Leaks from the pipes in the area of the reservoir	Tighten the pipes
		Continue to Step 2	Leaks from the reservoir	Replace the reservoir Op. 3330C34
2	PUMP LEAKAGE TEST	All OK	Problems met	Operation
	Visually check that there are no leaks of fluid from the brake pump and connectors	Continue to Step 3	Leaks from the connectors in the area of the pump / ABS control unit	Tighten the connectors or replace the damaged parts (see Assembly 3340B)
		Continue to Step 3	Leaks from the pump	Replace the brake servo assembly Op. 3330D10
3	CHECK HOSES	All OK	Problems met	Operation
	Visually inspect that there are no leaks from the hoses	Continue to Step 4	Leaks from the connectors or hoses deteriorated	Tighten the connectors or replace the hoses involved (see Assembly 3340B)
4	RIGID PIPES CHECK	All OK	Problems met	Operation
	Visually inspect that there are no leaks from the underbody rigid pipes	Continue to Step 5	Leaks from the connectors or rigid pipes damaged	Tighten the connectors or replace the rigid pipes (see Assembly 3340B)
5	CHECKING CORRECT OPERATION	All OK	Problems met	Operation
	Check that the fault is no longer present	End of diagnosis	Fault persists	Search for the fault starting from another symptom'
