Before removing and refitting the steering gear, drain the fluid from the reservoir.

NOTE The old fluid should not be reused. Top up the level with fresh fluid.

Remove the nut and bolt securing the lower coloumn to the steering pinion.

Dismantling-fitting bolt which secures power steering fluid pipe bracket

Removing-refitting right and left tie-rods on steer-ing link on vertical link
