SPEED GOVERNOR
Cruise Control
Only use the Cruise Control if the traffic and road conditions allow a constant speed to be maintained.
Cruise Control is only available on the Scudo 1997 JTD version; it allows a constant preset speed, above 40 km/h, to be maintained, without having to use any of the controls except the steering wheel.
The device consists of:
- button A for switching the cruise control on/off;
- lever B for adjusting the speed.
Memorizing a speed
A speed can only be memorized in 4th or 5th gear or at a speed above 40 Km/h.
- Place lever B briefly in position 1 or 2, the current vehicle speed will be maintained and memorized;
- if necessary, the speed set can be exceeded by operating the accelerator pedal (for example, for overtaking); when the pedal is released, the system returns to the speed memorized.
Switching the device off
The Cruise Control can be switched off:
- by briefly placing the lever in position 3, or towards the steering wheel;
- or, by pressing the brake pedal or the clutch pedal.
Acceleration or deceleration
Whilst driving with the speed automatically controlled, place the lever in position 1 to accelerate or in position 2 to decelerate; when the lever is released, the new speed reached will be maintained and memorized.
