MAXIMUM RPM LIMITER
According to pre-set engine ratings, the ECU:
- reduces injection time
- reduces ignition time.
When engine rating returns within the pre-set values, the ECU restores normal engine management.
FUEL PUMP - FUEL FEED CONTROL
The ECU directly operates the fuel pump:
- for 15 seconds when the key turned to MAR
- when the key turned to AVV and engine rating is higher than a pre-set threshold.
The ECU cuts power to the pump:
- when the key turned to STOP
- when the engine rating is lower than a pre-set threshold
CONNECTION TO CLIMATE CONTROL (WHERE RELEVANT)
When the compressor is started and power demand is increased, the ECU pilots the idling actuator to increase air intake.
When the demand for power is high (throttle potentiometer over a pre-set threshold), the ECU cuts off power supply to the compressor for 10 seconds.
CYLINDER POSITION DETECTION
During each engine cycle, the ECU acknowledges the cylinder in TDC:
- it controls injection
- it controls ignition sequence to the correct cylinder.
