Reassembly

(Cont.d Op.2180A14)

• Lower the vehicle.
• Withdraw the mileage recorder transmission from the fastening clamp.

1. Partially remove the engine compartment seal.
2. Slacken the screws (2a) of the sound-deading guard (2b) and remove it.

1. Remove the mileage recorder transmission cover.
2. Remove the milage recorder transmission complete.

Reassembly

• Place the complete mileage recorder transmission in the engine compartment.
• Fit the mileage recorder transmission cover.
• Assemble the sound-deadening cover and fasten it with its screws.
• Fit the engine compartment seal on the sound-deadening cover.
• Insert the mileage recorder transmission in the fastening clamp.
• Raise the car.
• Connect the mileage recorder transmission on the gearbox side.
• Lower the vehicle.
• Connect the battery (-) terminal

• Remove the protective coverings from the car body.
• Close the engine compartment.
• Remove the car from the car lift.

Removal

• Set the car on a car lift and raise it

1. Disconnect the gearbox side mileage recorder transmission.
2. Slacken the stopper screw of the mileage recorder control support.
3. Withdraw the mileage recorder control support.

Reassembly

1. Insert the mileage recorder control support (1a) complete with seal ring (1b) directing it so that the hole (1c) corresponds with the seat of the fastening screw (1d).
2. Tighten the fastening screw to the specified torque
