The system is equipped with two pressure regulators placed in the master cylinder connection pipe to the rear brake control cylinders.
Their purpose is to avoid rear wheel locking when the vehicle load shifts onto the first axle when braking.
Two pressure regulators are required for crossed brake systems.
Home position: Service spring (4) pushes piston (2) to the end of the cylinder, i.e. against the outlet chamber.
NOTE: The piston is cut in order to keep regulator inlet and outlet chambers constantly connected.
Work position: To 22 bar, the outlet pressure (Pu) corresponds to the inlet pressure (Pe) .
As Pe increases, it acts on the surfaces of piston (2) and shifts it downwards thus overcoming the load of spring (4).
In this condition, volume of outlet chamber (1) is increased and, consequently, the pressure in the rear circuit decreases by 0.15 on each wheel.
