GLOSSARY

Recirculation

Ventilation system function which allows the circulation of the same air in passenger compartment stopping the outside air inlet. It is a very useful function because it allows avoiding unwelcome outer air inlet in passenger compartment ( flue gas, polluted air from heavy traffic, etc.).

DESCRIPTION

Amount of air

It is the quantity of air that the system can let in the passenger compartment. A high amount of air allows cutting response times to adjustments and it allows obtaining a suitable change of air.

Four speed fan assures excellent silence characteristics and amount of air.

Air distribution

Its aim is allowing introduced air to reach all the passenger compartment zones.

The system make use of four groups of air outlets and operates with five kinds of distribution which can be selected with the suitable control.

Front and side air outlets and their respective ducts, are characterized by wide passage sections which allow a diffuse ventilation with constant and slow air flow. The other air outlets supply a more concentrated and directional air flow.

Air distribution types allow directing air towards different air outlets according to the following scheme:

  1. Air flow towards central and side air diffusers with adjustment possibility through controls of air diffusers themselves
  2. Air flow distribution among central diffusers, side diffusers and passenger compartment lower part
  3. Air flow towards passenger compartment lower part
  4. Air flow distribution among windscreen/side windows and passenger compartment lower part
  5. Air flow towards windscreen and side windows for de-misting/defogging.
