The tailgate is supported by two telescopic struts with gas spring for easier opening.
The opening ca be from outside, through the hidden handle under the tailgate contour, or from inside the car through a lever beside the driver's seat, connected by a flexible cable to the lock.
On the tailgate inner side, panelling is installed that covers the rear window wiper motor and supports the additional stop light.
