WARNING
The engine compartment contains many parts in motion, components at high temperatures and live electric cables. Scrupulously follow these precautions when working on the engine compartment:
- Switch off the engine and wait for it to cool.
- Do not smoke.
- Do not use naked flames.
- Make sure there is a fire extinguisher nearby.
WARNINGS
At every disassembly always replace seal gaskets, oil seal rings, spring washers, safety plates, self locking nuts and any deteriorated parts .

A - IGNITION COIL OPERATION CHECK
- Disconnect the battery negative (–) terminal.
- Disconnect the electrical connections from the ignition coil.

B - REV SENSOR AND TOP DEAD CENTRE OPERATION CHECK
- Disconnect the battery negative (–) terminal.
- Disconnect the electrical connection from the rev sensor and top dead centre.
