REVERSING LIGHTS TWO ALWAYS ON

The two reversing lights come on with the ignition ON even when reverse gear is not enaged.

The reversing lights are controlled by the Body Computer Node BSI.

STEP	OPERATIONS TO BE CARRIED OUT	TEST RESULTS
1	CHECK USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Check for the presence of one or more of the following errors using the Examiner in the Body Computer ambient: Reversing switch error Inconsistent operation	Move on to Step	1. Errors detected at the reverse switch.	Move on to Step
		Move on to Step	2. Operation inconsistency error.	2. Continue as described by the diagnostic equipment.
2	REVERSE SWITCH ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT CHECK	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Check the following, in order: Reversing lights protective fuse(s). Wiring between junction unit and reversing lights switch. Reversing lights control switch. See E2022 REVERSING LIGHTS	Move on to Step	1. Protective fuse/s blown	1. Replace the component involved (in the case of a fuse, find out what caused it to blow).
			2. Wiring defective	2. 1. Restore wiring
			3. Reversing lights control switch faulty	3. Restore the correct operation of the reversing lights control switch
3	REVERSING LIGHTS ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT CHECK	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Check the following, in order: Wiring between junction unit and bulbs. Condition of the bulb holder assembly in question. See E2022 REVERSING LIGHTS	Move on to Step	1. Wiring defective.	1. Repair wiring.
		Move on to Step	2. Bulb holders damaged.	2. Repair or replace the rear light cluster.
4	CHECK ON CORRECT OPERATION	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Check that the fault is no longer present
