Remove the headlamp assembly. For additional information, refer to: Headlamp Assembly (417-01 Exterior Lighting, Removal and Installation).
WARNING:High voltages are present in this system. Make sure that the headlamp assembly electrical connector is disconnected if the headlamp rear cover is removed. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.
Remove the headlamp rear cover.
CAUTION:Make sure that the headlamps are not switched on with the low beam headlamp bulb ignitor electrical connector disconnected.
NOTE:The low beam headlamp bulb ignitor electrical connector will be disconnected automatically during the low beam headlamp bulb ignitor removal.
Remove the low beam headlamp bulb ignitor.
Detach the low beam headlamp bulb U-clip from the fixings.
WARNING:Wear safety glasses and protective gloves when removing high intensity discharge headlamp bulbs. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.
CAUTION:Do not touch the glass surface of the headlamp bulb.
Remove the low beam headlamp bulb.
Installation

Install the low beam headlamp bulb.
Attach the low beam headlamp bulb U-clip to the fixings.
Install the low beam headlamp bulb ignitor.
Connect the low beam headlamp bulb ignitor electrical connector.
CAUTION:Make sure that the headlamp assembly internal wiring harness does not become trapped when installing the headlamp assembly rear cover.
Install the headlamp assembly rear cover.
