General Equipment
Transmission jack
Removal
Loosen the wheel nuts.
Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to SectionÂ
100-02 Jacking and Lifting
.
Remove the wheel.
Detach the stabilizer bar link and bushing.
Detach the front arm.
Detach the tie - bar.
Detach the four exhaust hanger insulators.
Support the exhaust system.
Using a suitable transmission jack support the crossmember.
Detach the crossmember (two bolts each side).
Lower the crossmember.
Remove the front arm.
Installation
NOTE:
The final tightening of the rear suspension components must be carried out with the vehicle on its wheels.
Install the front arm to the crossmember.
Using the special tools, position the crossmember.
Install the special tools into the alignment holes (one each side).
Slide the locking plates into the locking grooves and tighten the locking sleeve.
Secure the crossmember (two bolts each side).
Remove the special tools (reverse the installation procedure.
Remove the crossmember support.
Install the exhaust system.
Install the tie - bar.
Install the front arm.
Install the stabilizer bar link and bushing.
Install the wheel.
