General Procedures Adjustment | -
Before starting the headlamp assembly adjustment: - Place the vehicle on a level surface.
- Check the correct headlamp operation, and renew damaged components as necessary.
- Check the tire inflation.
- Check that no other load is in the vehicle other than a full tank of gas. If the tank is only half full, place a weight of 30 kg in the luggage compartment. In addition, have a person or a 75 kg weight in the driver's seat.
- Check the headlamp levelling system by operating it several times, and then set it to position ”0".
- Set the measuring screen of the beam setting equipment to the following headlamp adjustment value (X): X=10 cm/10 m=0 degrees, 34 minutes=1.0 %.

NOTE:Headlamp adjustment must always be carried out with the headlamp levelling system set to position ”0". Adjust the low beam. - Vertical alignment screw

Vertical adjustment. - Adjust the low beam so that the light/dark boundary touches the horizontal line.

NOTE:Some scattered light from the low beam may lie above the 15 degree line. NOTE:After horizontal adjustment readjustment of the vertical axis might be necessary. Horizontal adjustment (LHD variant shown). - Adjust the low beam so that the rising line of the light/dark boundary line lies at the intersection of horizontal line and the 15 degree line.
| Adjust the front fog lamps. | -
Before starting the front fog lamp adjustment: - Make sure that the same requirements are met as for adjusting the headlamps.
- Adjust the beam setting equipment to the fog lamp adjustment value (X): X = 22 cm/10 m = 1 degree, 16 minutes = 2.2%.
