CAUTION:Disconnect the battery earth lead. Preparatory measures: - Make a note of the radio keycode.
- Make a note of the preset radio stations.

Remove the timing belt as described in Operation Number 21 304 0. | | | -
Remove the camshaft timing belt pulley. NOTE:Screw two bolts (10 x 45 und 10 x 50) into the special tool to hold the pulley instead of the original pins. empty | | | -
Remove the camshaft oil seal. | | | -
Install a new oil seal. - Coat the oil seal lip and the camshaft running surface with engine oil.
- Insert the oil seal in the special tool and draw it in with the timing belt pulley bolt as far as the stop.

NOTE:Apply sealer (WSK-M4G320-A) to the thread of the new bolt. Fit the camshaft timing belt pulley. | | | -
Secure the camshaft timing belt pulley. | | | -
Finishing operations. - Check that the wiring and hoses are correctly routed and, where necessary, secure them with cable ties.
- Connect the battery negative lead.
- Reprogramme the radio stations.
- Carry out a road test to allow the PCM to re-learn values.
- Check the fluid levels and correct as necessary.
