Detach the clutch. - Lock the flywheel using Special Tool 303-254.
- Slacken the bolts of the clutch pressure plate evenly.
- Detach the clutch pressure plate and the clutch disc.

NOTE:Mark the installation position. Detach the flywheel. - Remove Special Tool 303-254.
| Installation | -
CAUTION:The oil seal must be installed in Special Tool 303-291 as far as the stop. Fit the new crankshaft rear seal in the Special Tool. - To ensure correct installation, place the special tool on a vice and press in the oil seal using a hammer handle.

Draw in the oil seal. - Draw in the oil seal with the special tool and two flywheel bolts.

NOTE:Clear the remainder of the locking compound from the threaded holes on the crankshaft. Attach the flywheel. | | -
NOTE:Apply a layer of high-temperature grease. This should be so thin that no grease is expelled from the splines when the clutch disc is pushed on to the transmission input shaft. | | -
Center the clutch disc on the clutch pressure plate. | | -
Install the clutch. - Install the clutch pressure plate with centered clutch disc.
- Working diagonally, tighten the bolts in several stages one turn at a time.
- Check the centering and correct if necessary.
