Remove the camshafts. For additional information, refer to camshafts in this section. - Take out the valve tappets and place to one side in sequence.

WARNING:Always wear protective goggles when working with compressed air. Failure to do so may result in personal injury. Unscrew the spark plugs from the first cylinder and attach the special tool. | | -
CAUTION:Air pressure is between seven and ten bar. Attach the special tools and apply compressed air to the cylinder. - Compress the valve spring.
- Take out the valve collets.
- Take out the valve spring retainer and the valve spring.

Remove the valve stem oil seal. - Insert the special tool.
- Turn the special tool clockwise and pull out.

Fit the valve stem oil seal. - Cover the valve stem grooves with the valve stem oil seal sleeve.
- Slide the valve stem oil seals onto the valve stem and take off the valve stem oil seal sleeve.

NOTE:Check that the valve collets are correctly seated. Install the valve springs. - Insert the valve springs and valve spring retainer.
- Compress the valve springs.
- Fit the valve collets.

Detach special tool 303-363. | | -
Repeat the operations for all the other cylinders. | | -
