In-vehicle Repair Special Tool(s) | Alignment Gauge, TR Sensor 307-351 (17-090) | Removal | -
Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, General Procedures). | | -
Move the selector lever to "N" NEUTRAL position. | | -
Remove the transmission range (TR) sensor. - Disconnect the TR electrical connector.
- Remove the retaining bolts.

NOTE:Make sure the transaxle is in the "N" (NEUTRAL) position. Position the TR sensor and loosely install the bolts. | | -
NOTE:As necessary, move the manual control lever to "N" (NEUTRAL) position for TR sensor adjustment. Rotate the manual valve detent lever assembly to the "N" (NEUTRAL) position. - Low 1 position.
- Low 2 position.
- "D" (DRIVE) position.
- "N" (NEUTRAL) position.
- "R" (REVERSE) position.
- "P" (PARK) position.

Install the TR sensor. - Using the special tool, align the TR sensor.
- Tighten the retaining bolts and remove the special tool.
- Connect the electrical connector.

Install the battery tray. | | -
Connect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, General Procedures). | | -
Check the correct operation. With parking brake applied the engine should start only in "P" (PARK) or "N" (NEUTRAL) positions. Reversing lamps should illuminate only when "R" (REVERSE) is selected. | | -
