Disassembly

CAUTION:
CAUTION:Make sure vice jaw protectors are used.
  1. Clamp the differential in the vice.

  1. Special Tool(s): 205-071-01, 205-295, 308-197

  1. Special Tool(s): 205-071-01, 205-295, 308-197

    1. Remove the seven bolts and discard them.
    1. Loosen three bolts by four turns each.

  1.  
    • Lightly tap on the bolts to loosen the crownwheel from the differential housing.
    • Remove the three bolts.

Assembly

CAUTION:
CAUTION:Make sure vice jaw protectors are used.
  1. Clamp the differential in the vice.
  1. Coat all running surfaces with clean transmission fluid before assembly.
    Material: Transmission Fluid

  1. Evenly tighten the crownwheel using three old bolts.
    Torque: 105 Nm

  1.  
    1. Screw in seven new bolts.
      Torque: 105 Nm
    1. Discard the three old bolts and screw in three new bolts.
      Torque: 105 Nm

  1. Do not oil the taper roller bearing.
    Special Tool(s): 205-081

  1. Do not oil the taper roller bearing.
    Special Tool(s): 205-081
