ENGINE OIL DRAIN PLUG - Replace

2.0 TB, 2.4 20V

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

See in Op. 7055B54 PROTECTION/GUARD under engine - R.R.

1. Undo the engine oil drain plug and drain the oil.

Collect the engine oil in a suitable container.

Refitting

- Fit a new engine oil drain plug complete with seal and tighten it to the recommended torque.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.

3.0 V6, 3.2 V6

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

1. Undo the engine oil drain plug and drain the oil.

Collect the engine oil in a suitable container.

Refitting

- Fit a new engine oil drain plug complete with seal and tighten it to the recommended torque.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.

2.4 JTD 10V

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

- Position a suitable container for collecting the oil under the sump.

1. Undo the drain plug and collect the oil in the container.

Used engine oil contains substances that are harmful to the environment. Deposit these substances in specially designed containers which will later be disposed of.

Refitting

- Fit the drain plug in the threaded housing in the sump and tighten it to torque.

Replace the oil plug copper seal.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.

2.4 JTD 20V

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

- Place a container to collect the oil beneath the oil sump.

1. Unscrew the drain plug and colllect the oil in the container.

The engine oil used contains substances that are harmful to the environment. Place these substances in containers designed for oil collection and disposal.

Refitting

- Fit the drain plug into the threaded seat on the sump and tighten to torque

Replace the oil plug copper seal.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.
