SIDE LIGHTS NOT WORKING

When the side light switch is operated, the side lights do not come on.

the voltage for side light activation is supplied directly from the body computer node.

Lights may be operated by means of the following commands:

  • 1. EXTERIOR LIGHTING CONTROL (on stalk unit) - Side lights
  • 2. PARKING LIGHT CONTROL (PARK button) - parking lights
  • 3. COMMAND FROM DUSK SENSOR
  • 4. FOLLOW-ME-HOME COMMAND FROM STALK UNIT

Connect the Examiner to the diagnostic socket

Check:

  • that there are no faults in the Body Computer
  • the operation of the lights in active diagnosis.

Check:

  • connections between Body Computer and steering column switch unit;
  • connections between ignition switch, Dashboard Control Unit and Body Computer;
  • connections between Body Computer and bulbs;
  • bulb earth: See E2010 SIDE LIGHTS / NO. PLATE LIGHTS
