INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEEDOMETER

Remove Remove

  1. Disconnect battery negative lead.
Remove remove – Disconnect battery negative lead.
  1. Remove 4 screws securing instrument panel to fascia cowl.
  2. Pull instrument panel away from fascia sufficent to reach behind speedometer.
  3. Disconnect instrument harness multi-plug.
  4. Disconnect 2 multi-plugs from warning light connectors.
  5. Withdraw panel, complete with instruments.

Refit

  1. Offer up instrument panel and connect multi-plugs.
  2. Secure instrument panel to fascia panel.

Refit

  1. Secure instrument panel to fascia cowl.
  2. Remove instrument panel assembly. See Instrument panel

  1. Release tie sucuring harness and multiplug to speedometer.
  2. Disconnect multi-plug from speedometer.
  3. Unscrew retaining ring and remove speedometer.
  4. Remove ’O’ ring from speedometer.
  5. Fit ’O’ ring to speedometer and position speedometer into instrument panel.
  6. Fit retaining ring, align dial and tighten.
  7. Connect multiplug to speedometer.
  8. Secure harness and multiplug with tie. See Instrument panel; Refit
