(a) Install the disc brake caliper with the 2 bolts.

Torque: 135 Nm (1377 kgf-cm, 100 ft-lbf)

18. INSTALL FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY RH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

19. INSTALL FRONT AXLE SHAFT NUT LH

(a) Clean the threaded parts on the drive shaft and axle shaft nut using a non-residue solvent.

NOTICE:
-

Be sure to perform this work for a new drive shaft.

-

Keep the threaded parts free of oil and foreign objects.

(b) Using a 30 mm socket wrench, install a new axle shaft nut.

Torque: 294 Nm (2998 kgf-cm, 217 ft-lbf)

NOTE: Do not stake the shaft nut.
HINT: Stake the shaft nut after the axle hub bearing looseness and axle hub runout inspections.

20. INSTALL FRONT AXLE SHAFT NUT RH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

23. REMOVE FRONT DISC See: Brakes and Traction Control/Disc Brake System/Service and Repair/Front Brake/Removal

24. INSPECT FRONT AXLE HUB BEARING LOOSENESS See: Wheel Hub/Testing and Inspection/Front Axle Hub

25. INSPECT FRONT AXLE HUB RUNOUT See: Wheel Hub/Testing and Inspection/Front Axle Hub

26. INSTALL FRONT DISC See: Brakes and Traction Control/Disc Brake System/Service and Repair/Front Brake/Installation

27. INSTALL FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Install the disc brake caliper with 2 new bolts.

Torque: 135 Nm (1377 kgf-cm, 100 ft-lbf)
