All 1998-2000 B-Series with A/T.
DESCRIPTION
1.
Some vehicles may exhibit a transmission fluid leak between the radiator transmission oil cooler and the radiator transmission oil cooler fitting.
The leak may result in a residue of transmission fluid on the radiator tank around the oil cooler fitting(s). This may be caused by damaged threads
or insufficient thread sealer on the transmission oil cooler fitting.
Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE

Verify customer concern. If the leak is between the transmission oil cooler and the transmission oil cooler fitting, proceed to STEP 2.

If the fluid leak is in-between the transmission oil cooler fitting and the cooler line fitting, this bulletin does NOT apply. Repair as needed.
3.
Remove radiator from vehicle according to Workshop Manual (section 01-12A).

Place radiator on flat surface with transmission oil cooler fittings facing upward.
4.
Clean area around transmission oil cooler fitting to ensure that contaminants do not enter transmission oil cooler when fittings are removed.
