Clutch Master Cylinder: Service and Repair
Removal/Installation
CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER REMOVAL/ INSTALLATION
NOTE: When replacing clutch master cylinder, remove tubing from vehicle for bench bleeding procedure.
1. Disconnect the master cylinder push rod from the clutch and brake pedal pivot shaft lever.
2. Disconnect the clutch pedal position (CPP) switch.
3. Remove the pushpins.
4. Raise and support the vehicle.
5. Disconnect the clutch hydraulic line from the transmission using the Special Service Tool (SST).
6. Lower the vehicle.
