Front Differential Pinion Seal
FRONT PINION SEAL REMOVAL / INSTALLATION
1. Remove the companion flange.
2. Use Converter Seal Remover T94P-77001-BH or equivalent along with Special Service Tool (SST) 49 0223 630B to remove.
3. Lubricate the pinion seal with axle lubricant meeting specification API Service GL-5.
NOTE: Check the splines on the pinion stem to be sure they are free of burrs. If burrs are evident, remove them with a fine crocus cloth. Work in
a rotating motion to wipe the pinion clean.
4. Clean the pinion seal bore and use pinion seal replacer T79P-4676-A or equivalent to install the pinion seal.
5. Install the companion flange.
