Sound Proofing / Insulation: Locations
FOAM RUBBER IN THE PILLAR
Precautions
Each pillar has foam rubber inside to improve quietness. Because foam rubber burns so easily, take the following precautions when cutting/welding each
pillar:
-
Do not cut the pillar by using gas. Use an air saw.
-
If the foam rubber inside becomes damaged while the pillar is being serviced, insert an urethane block in place of the damaged foam. (Refer to the
next page for details.)
Location Of Foam Rubber Application
CAUTION: Do not cut-and-join the pillars where foam rubber is inserted. This can melt or burn the foam rubber.
Insulator
NOTE: Adjust to cut insulator form to the location to insert.
CAUTION: Do not insert foam rubber into cut-and-join locations. When the pillars are welded, the foam rubber can melt or burn.
