9. Set the bearing housing on the output gear. Install the four SST (bolts) and tighten them to 19 - 25 Nm (14 - 18 ft. lbs.).

10. Turn the SST (selector) by using the SST (bars) to increase the clearance (arrow) until it no longer turns. This is to seat the bearing race.

11. Turn the selector in the opposite direction until the preload is eliminated (gap is reduced).
12. Install the SST and a pull scale or torque wrench on the output gear.

NOTE:  Read the preload when the output gear starts to turn.

13. Adjust the clearance of the SST (selector) to obtain the specified preload/pull scale reading. Preload should be within 0.02 - 0.88 Nm (0.2 - 7.8

inch lbs.) and the reading on pull scale should be within 0.2 - 8 N (0.05 - 1.9 lbs.).
