Scan Tool Viewer (STV) ONLY. Verify that your MUT-III is at STV Version 14 or higher, and that it has the most current version of the
reprogramming database:

a.

Select "Special Function", then select "ECU Reprogramming." 

b.

Select "Database File Display". The database version is displayed in the top right corner of the screen. Make sure the database version is N06081
or greater.

c.

If the database version is N06081 or greater, reprogram the PCM as described in Step 7 for CAN-FLASH VEHICLES ONLY or Step 8 for
K-LINE FLASH VEHICLES ONLY.

d.

If the database version is less than N06081, you must transfer the new reprogramming data from the Reflash Update CD 8/06 to the MUT-III hard
drive as follows:

a.

Install Reflash Update CD 8106 into the PC's DVD-ROM drive.

b.

Follow the instructions on the screen. The system will automatically transfer the reprogramming data onto the PC's hard drive.

MEDIC-II and STV Transfer the reprogramming data from the MEDIC-II laptop to the memory card as follows (Use the port on the left side of
the MEDIC-II laptop):

a.

Select the "MUT-III STV" button. 

b.

Select "Special function". 

c.

Select "ECU Reprogramming".
