GLOVE BOX COMPARTMENT REPLACEMENT
MODELS:
ALL 405 VEHICLES
In order to properly replace the glove box on a 405, the dashboard must first be removed. This is a more detailed version of the procedure as indicated in
the workshop manual. This procedure allows for more time than what is stated in the Suggested Repairs Times. However the same damage code and
operation number should be used. Proceed as follows:

Remove the steering wheel

Remove the three blanking plugs (1) using a small screwdriver

Remove the three 10 mm bolts (1) and lift off the instrument cluster visor
- Remove the phillips-head screws (2) on either side of the console that secure the side panels
- Unclip and remove the right and left console side panels
- Remove the left and right side kickpanel trim
- Remove the four # 10 torx screws (3) that secure the steering column cover
- Remove the upper and lower steering column covers (before removing the lower cover, first unplug the dash light dimmer wire and unclip the horn
wire connector, if equipped)
