Caution:  Refer to Fastener Caution   (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution).

Note:  Before installing the new oil filter, ensure that the old oil filter gasket has been removed. If not, remove the old gasket. 

1. Install the oil filter (2) and tighten to 30 Nm (22 lb ft).
2. Install the oil pan drain plug (1) and tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Fill the engine with a suitable amount and type of engine oil. Refer to Approximate Fluid Capacities and Fluid and Lubricant Recommendations   (

See: Service Intervals).

5. Check the oil level.
6. Install the oil fill cap.
7. Reset the service reminder display. Refer to Service Display Reminders   ().
