Fine adjustment under the following conditions (caused by an accumulation of unfavorable tolerances) may be necessary. This adjustment involves
turning the cam 1-2 mm away from the basic setting.
^
Clutch pedal returns too slowly or tends to stick: Turn cam approx. 1-2 mm(measured at mark) to rear (toward driver).
^
Subjectively, rather too much force required to actuate clutch: Turn cam approx. 1 mm forward (toward front axle).
NOTE:
Mark on cam = highest point of cam.
Mark on lever = middle of radius between upper and front edge.
Checking Final Position Of Clutch Master Cylinder
NOTE: The clutch pedal is at its final position when the master cylinder is in the released position (clutch engaged). The master cylinder has no
pressure spring and its piston rod (pressure rod) must be pulled back by the servo spring of the clutch pedal (double function of the spring) with at
least 30 N. It is necessary to check the final position of the master cylinder to assure automatic hydraulic readjustment and perfect operation of the
clutch.
