With the dip switch in the HIGH BEAM position, a feed is also supplied to fuses 4 and 5 in the passenger compartment fuse box on the U/W wire. From fuse 4, power is fed on the U/G wire to the RH main beam lamp. From fuse 5, power is fed on the U/S wire to the LH main beam lamp. Earth returns for the lamps are on B wires.
Headlamp Flash
Regardless of the position of the lighting switch, operation of the headlamp flash switch causes supply voltage to be switched to fuses 4 and 5 in the passenger compartment fuse box on the U/W wire. From fuse 4, power is fed on the U/G wire to the RH main beam lamp. From fuse 5, power is fed on the U/S wire to the LH main beam lamp. Earth returns for the lamps are on B wires.
Lights-on Alarm
When the driver’s door switch is closed (door open) an earth is fed to the MFU ’lights on alarm’ circuit on a Y/R wire via the alarm ECU. A 2 KHz sounder in the multi-function unit (MFU), is activated when the driver’s door is open if the sidelights are switched ON and the ignition is switched OFF. The sounder is deactivated when any of the above conditions is reversed.
The MFU receives its main supply on a P/N wire from fuse 3 in the engine compartment fuse box and earth on the B wire.
The ignition feed to the MFU is via fuse 17 in the passenger compartment fuse box.
A feed to the sounder within the MFU is provided via link 4 in the engine compartment fuse box to the lighting switch on the N/S wire and from the lighting switch on an R wire to fuse 8 in the passenger compartment fuse box (fuse 25 in the satellite fuse box for vehicles with daylight running lamps) on the R/B wire.
