WARNING LIGHTS

Main Beam

When the headlamps are switched to main beam, a voltage is fed from the LH headlamp on an R/G wire to the main beam warning light. The earth return is on a B wire.

Indicators

Two lights give a visual indication of indicator operation, either left or right. Power is fed on G/U and G/Y wires from the LH and RH indicator feeds and the earth path is on a B wire.

Oil Pressure

Power is fed to the oil pressure warning light from fuse 15, on a Y wire. It is earthed on a Y/R wire (Diesel) or Y/R - W/N wire (Petrol) when the oil pressure switch contacts close, indicating low oil pressure.

Brake System

The brake system warning lamp will light when the handbrake is ON, when the brake fluid level is low and for a few seconds when the ignition is first switched on (check function). The earth path is via a G/R wire.

ABS

The ABS warning lamp is used to indicate that the anti-lock braking system is functioning correctly. The earth path is on a U/R wire via the ABS modulator.

Low Fuel

Power is fed to the low fuel warning light from fuse 15, on a Y wire. It is earthed on a G/R wire when fuel washes away from a thermistor located at the base of the fuel pump.
