Cable harness with 8 pin connector: removing
  WARNING
Take all measures concerning the disconnection of the battery → Electrical system; Rep. gr. 27.
–  Remove cover -1- above the battery. To do this press the release tab -arrow-.

–  Disconnect battery earth strap-arrow-with the ignition switched off.
–  Remove oil pan → Chapter.
–  Remove oil strainer → Chapter.
–  Remove the selection unit → Chapter.

If the gearbox is in place:
  A37-0569
–  Disconnect the 8 pin connector -B- from the gearbox connector.
–  Unscrew the attachment bolt from the 8 pin connector on the outer part of the gearbox housing.
–  With due care, take out the connector along with the cable harness -C- from the gearbox housing.
Cable harness with 8 pin connector: fitting
Installation is carried out in reverse order, noting the following:
–  Replace the O-ring on the connector.
–  Moisten the O-ring with ATF.
–  Press in the connector with the O-ring on the gearbox as far as possible.
