Gear change forks: repairs
1 - Absorbent rubber
q   Removed and fitted on the control rod by hand
2 - Control rod with prongs for 1st and 2nd gear
3 - Control rod with prongs for 3rd and 4th gear
4 - Control rod with prongs for 5thª and 6thª gear
5 - Reverse gear prong
6 - Ball sleeves
q   Remove → Fig.
q   Insert → Fig.

   
Check the tool and equipment equivalence table according to the applicability between Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Pressure tool -T20129-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Extractor kit -T20140-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Kit (case) -U-40200A-, see equivalent → Anchor

   
Extract the ball socket from the reverse gear prong
–  Use the adapter -T20140/20- and the pressure tool -T20129-.

Insert the ball socket for the reverse gear prong
–  Use the adaptor -U-40200/3-.
