Dismantling and assembling input shaft → Chapter.
  Note
Install all bearings on input shaft with gear oil.
Always renew deep groove ball bearing → Item.
   
1 - Circlip
q   For grooved ball bearing on input shaft → Item
2 - Gearbox
3 - Circlip
q   If deep groove ball bearing → Item and input shaft → Item are renewed, redetermine → Fig.
4 - Deep groove ball bearing
q   Always renew
q   Pressing out → Fig.
q   Installation position → Fig.
q   Pressing on → Fig.
5 - 5th gear pinion
q   Offered as replacement part together with input shaft
q   Pressing out → Fig.
q   Installation position: peripheral groove -arrow- faces deep groove ball bearing → Item
q   Pressing on → Fig.
6 - Input shaft:
q   With gear wheels for 3rd, 4th and 6th gears
7 - Cylindrical roller bearing
q   With retaining ring
q   Pulling out → Fig.
q   Pressing on → Fig.
q   Installation position: the securing ring of the bearing should point towards the input shaft
8 - clutch housing
