Transporting the gearbox and fixing to an assembly stand Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter. Special tools and workshop equipment required

t  counterhold -T20068 -, see equivalent → Anchor t  Shift unit -VW 353-

Seal the gearbox so that oil cannot escape.   Caution Risk of damage to the gearbox. In the hydraulic oil field of the Mechatronic for dual clutch gear box - J743 - the level cannot be checked. For installation the exhaust of the mechatronics for - J743 - double clutch gearbox must be locked. The hydraulic oil from the field of Mechatronics for dual clutch gear box -J743- the leaking oil cannot be refilled or controlled ! The gear box oil range from the transmission oil can be duly refilled only by a gear box oil changing . The level can not be verified. The function of the gearbox will be affected when the filling of both oil areas is inadequate or excessive. –  Remove both sealing caps -arrow- and seal the opening so that oil cannot escape using a clean plug from the sealing plug set -VAS 6122-. l  After fitting the gearbox in the vehicle, the plugs must be removed and the breather caps must be refitted.

Transporting the gearbox.

–  Remove both caps of the ventilation -arrow- and fit a suitable cap so that the opening remains oil tight.   Caution Risk of damage to the gearbox. In the hydraulic oil field of the Mechatronic for dual clutch gear box - J743 - the level cannot be checked. For installation the exhaust of the mechatronics for - J743 - double clutch gearbox must be locked. The hydraulic oil from the field of Mechatronics for dual clutch gear box -J743- the leaking oil cannot be refilled or controlled ! The gear box oil range from the transmission oil can be duly refilled only by a gear box oil changing . The level can not be verified. Fix the gearbox to the holder -VW 353-.

Lift the gearbox onto the assembly stand. The gearbox is fixed to the holder -VW 353- and lifted onto the »assembly stand«.
