Input shaft bevel gear and, if fitted, differential lock control mechanism removed from rear axle .

Dismantling

• ‒ → Press off large taper roller bearing inner race from bevel gear.

• A - Kukko 17/2 Separating tool

• ‒ → Pressing small taper roller bearing inner race off input shaft.

• A - Kukko 17/2 Separating tool

• ‒ → Press large taper roller bearing free slightly by levering alternate sides.

• ‒ → Pull large taper roller bearing outer race out from cover.

A - Kukko 20/10 Two-arm puller

with Matra V170 hooks

• ‒ → Driving small taper roller bearing outer race out from rear axle housing.

Differential removed.

Assembling

• ‒ → Pressing small taper roller bearing outer race into rear axle housing.

• ‒ → Pressing small taper roller bearing inner race onto input shaft.

• ‒ → Pressing large taper roller bearing inner race onto bevel gear.

•     A -    Press tool from puller 3128

• ‒ → Pressing large taper roller bearing outer race into cover.
