Oil seal between the pair of bevelled gears and gearbox, in the gearbox: replace
Oil seal between the pair of bevelled gears and gearbox, in the gearbox: replace

Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Extractor -SAT 1100-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Bracket -T10243-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Pulling device -T20143/1-

Operation process
–  Remove the pair of bevelled gears → Chapter
Place used oil collection and extraction unit -SAT 1100- below gearbox.
–  Using a puller hook, lever out -T20143/1- or -T20143/2 - from the gearbox.
   
–  Pack space between sealing lip and dust lip -arrow- half full with sealing grease -G 052 128 A1 -.
–  Lightly oil outer circumference of oil seal.

–  Carefully drive in as far as it can go using thrust piece -T10243 -.
–  Fit the pair of bevelled gears → Chapter
–  Gear oil level: checking and topping up → Chapter
  A34-10041
