Toothed belt drive: Assembly overview
1 - Upper protection element for the notched belt
2 - Notched belt
q   Mark direction of rotation before removing.
q   Check for wear
q   Do not bend
q   Removing, installing and tensioning → Chapter.
3 - 20 Nm + 45° (1/8 turn)
q   To avoid significant damage to the engine apply correct tightening torques
4 - Tensioning roller
5 - 100 Nm
6 - 25 Nm
7 - Camshaft wheels
8 - Hub
q   With generator wheel
q   Use retention tool -T10051- to loosen and tighten
q   For removal use the extraction tool -T10052A-
q   removing and fitting → Chapter
9 - 10 Nm
10 - Rear notched belt guard
11 - Thrust piece
q   If this is damaged, replace it
12 - Guide roller
13 - Coolant pump
q   removing and fitting → Chapter
14 - Crankshaft toothed belt wheel
15 - 120 Nm + 90° (1/4 turn)
q   Replace
q   Use counter-hold tool -T20018B- to loosen and tighten.
q   Do not oil or grease the screw thread and the collar further
q   Turning further can be done in several stages.
16 - 15 Nm
17 - 20 Nm
18 - Toothed belt cover (bottom)
19 - Belt pulley and vibration damper
q   Fitting is only possible in one position, -the holes are distributed asymmetrically-
20 - 10 Nm + 90° (1/4 turn)
21 - Notched belt guard - centre part
