Engine cylinder head, valve gear > < Balance shaft and shaft bracket: removing and fitting
Crankshaft oil seal- pulley side: replace

Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Torque wrench kit -SAT 8010-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Hose clamp -T20018B-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Guide sleeve -T20081B-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Extractor kit -T20143-, see equivalent → Anchor

Removing
–  Remove poly V-belt → Chapter.
–  Remove toothed belt → Chapter.
   
–  The crankshaft notched belt wheel must be immobilised using the crankshaft retention tool -T20018B-.

–  Insert the extractor -T20143- and extract the seal -1-.
–  Clean contact surface and sealing surface.
Installing
  Note
t  Do not lubricate sealing lip and outer rim of oil seal before pressing in.
t  Use clean cloth to wipe off oil residue at crankshaft journal.
–  Slide oil seal over adaptor -T20081B/6-

–  Place assembly onto crankshaft journal.
–  Use the adaptor -T20081B/1- and push on the assembly until oil seal is flush. To do this, use the old securing bolt for the crankshaft sprocket.
–  Remove the adaptor -T20081B/4-.
  E13-0108
–  Fit the crankshaft notched belt wheel, locking it using the crankshaft retention tool -T20018B-.
–  Tighten the new central bolt to the prescribed torque → Anchor.
  Note
t  There should be no oil on the contact surface between the notched belt wheel and the crankshaft
t  Do not oil bolt for notched belt crankshaft pulley.
–  Install toothed belt (adjust valve timing) → Chapter.
–  Install poly V-belt → Chapter.
Tightening torques

Components:Nm
Crankshaft toothed belt wheel120 + 90° → Remark → Remark

1)  Renew bolt
2)  90° is the equivalent of (1/4 turn)
