Safety valve: check and fitting position
Safety valve: check and fitting position
(Only for vehicles with the safety valve located in the exterior of the activated charcoal filter system)
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Manual vacuum pump -SAT 1390-
Check
  W00-2716
–  Connect manual vacuum pump -SAT 1390- to the valve's connection -A-.
–  Create pression, there must be an air path.
–  Create vacuum, vacuum should be maintained.
–  Connect manual vacuum pump -SAT 1390- to the valve's connection -B-.
–  Create pression, there must be an air path.
–  Create vacuum, vacuum should not be maintained.
If the test results are not as indicated, replace the safety valve.

Fitting position
When positioning the safety valve in the vehicle, ensure that connection -A- is positioned in the direction of the activated charcoal filter system.
