Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability between Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Retention tool -T10172-, see equivalent → Anchor
Removing
–  Remove oil sump → Chapter.
–  Lock the oil pump sprocket using the retention tool -T10172-.

–  Loosen the sprocket securing bolt.
  Note
Do not remove the bolt yet.
  N17-10018
–  Push the chain tensioner in the -direction of the arrow- using a screwdriver.
–  Remove the sprocket securing bolt.
–  Remove the sprocket from the oil pump and chain.

–  Loosen the oil pump securing bolts -arrows- and remove.
–  Remove the oil pump from the engine block.
Fitting
  N17-10021
–  Push the chain tensioner in the direction of the arrow using a screwdriver.
–  Place the sprocket on the chain and on the oil pump cam.

–  Check that the sprocket is correctly fitted onto the oil pump cam -arrow-.
–  Tighten the sprocket securing bolt.
–  Immobilise the sprocket using the retention tool -T10172-.
  N17-10020
–  Place the torque wrench (5...50 Nm) -V.A.G. 1331- as shown.
–  Tighten the bolt to 20 Nm + 1/4 turn (90°).
–  Fit the oil sump → Chapter.
